Find out everything about this innovation that has arrived to revolutionize the market
Fashion is one of the most important industries in the world — and also one of the ones that generates the most waste, especially hard-to-decompose plastics used in packaging, labels, hangers and even synthetic fibers. In a market that demands environmental responsibility, technological innovation is the key to transforming this scenario. And that is exactly what Eco Ventures Brasil, through Eco Fashion Solutions, has been promoting: biodegradable solutions that combine performance, aesthetics and sustainability.
One of the main innovations is the additive "P-Life", which stands for "Programmed Life", a Japanese patent developed by Isao Toyama, CEO of P-Life Japan Inc. This revolutionary technology transforms conventional plastics, such as polyethylene, polypropylene and PET, into oxy-biodegradable materials. When they come into contact with oxygen, light and heat, these plastics begin an accelerated degradation process, and are subsequently consumed by microorganisms, without leaving toxic residues. The technology is already present in several countries and is now gaining momentum in Brazil with direct applications in the fashion sector.
Eco Ventures Brasil is responsible for bringing this technology to Brazil, developing local solutions with strategic partners. Among them is the recent launch of Go Green Bio-Polyester, developed in partnership with Dini Têxtil. This is a polyester yarn with the P-Life additive incorporated into its formulation, allowing the material to degrade naturally at the end of its useful life — combating the release of microplastics into the environment, one of the great villains of synthetic fashion.
Go Green Bio-Polyester stands out for maintaining all the technical qualities required by the textile sector — strength, durability, comfort — and, at the same time, offering a new destination for textile waste, which is often disposed of inappropriately. It is a solution designed to fit into the gears of today's industry, without requiring changes to machinery, and ready to meet the growing market demand for circular and regenerative fashion.
All this innovation is backed by national and international certifications that guarantee safety, efficiency and environmental compliance. These include ESMA Standard 5009:2009 (United Arab Emirates), Hong Kong Green Label, and the SPCR141 certificate from RISE (Research Institutes of Sweden).
The technology is also aligned with ABNT standards and has reports that prove its effectiveness in tests carried out in different environments, in addition to being on Anvisa's positive list. In addition, studies show that common microorganisms, present in soil and landfills, are capable of degrading plastics added with P-Life — in other words, it is a tested, proven and scientifically validated solution.
For fashion brands, incorporating these solutions is a strategic step: not only does it reduce the environmental footprint of production, it also adds value to the brand, strengthens the reputation and meets the demands of conscious consumers. We are facing a new generation of products — smart, sustainable and aligned with ESG principles. This is technology working in favor of environmental regeneration and innovation in the industry.
Committed to transforming waste into solutions, Eco Ventures Brasil continues to develop technologies that connect fashion and sustainability in a practical and efficient way. The future of fashion is not just green — it is biodegradable, it is circular, it is smart. And it has already begun.
